Irene G. Moyer

Irene G. Moyer, 78, of Sinking Spring, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Penn State Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center. She was the loving wife to Donald L. Moyer for over 40 years, before his passing in September, 2009. Born in Reading, Irene was the daughter of the late Frederick E. Sallada and Gertrude I. (Moyer). 

Irene loved her cat which she spent the last 15 years with. She also collected porcelain cats and loved plants and flowers. 

Surviving Irene are her children, Justine Larish, wife of Wayne, of Leesport, Brian R. Barbera, husband of Wanda, of Sinking Spring, John M. Barbera, husband of Terri, of Denver PA, Caroline Barbera, of Wernersville, her grandchildren, Jennifer, Brian, Hollyanne, Christine, Michael John, Jamie, Jimmy, and Haylie. Irene is also survived by her 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and her siblings, Gloria, Connie, Rita, Frederick, and Peter. 

In addition to her parents and husband Donald, Irene is predeceased by her grandson, Eric, and sister Carol.
