Hope Seidel

Hope Ann Seidel (Zellers), 80, of Uniontown Ohio, formerly of Wellsboro & Reading, passed away on March 3, 2022 at her home. She was the loving wife to Jerry C. “Jake” Seidel for 58 years before his passing in May 12, 2020. Born in Leesport, PA Hope was the daughter of the late Victor & Mary (Kerns) Zellers. Hope worked as an administrator for the Oley School District for 16 year. Prior to the Oley School district she was a Tax Collector for Ruscombmanor Township for 8 years. Hope was an avid reader, enjoyed watching movies (Musicals and Westerns), loved visiting the beach (Maryland and Daytona), also loved visiting the Mountains around Wellsboro PA, where her and Jerry retired.

Hope is survived by her children, Karen Ann Eberle, wife of Tracy, of North Richland Hills TX, Jeffrey C. Seidel, husband of Christine, of Easton PA, and Kevin A. Seidel, husband of Casey, of Uniontown OH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kyle, Ty, Maria, Johnny, Aris, Kendra, Quinn, and her great grandson, Perceval.

In addition to her husband Jerry, Hope is predeceased by her son, Terry L. Seidel, her brothers, Leon Degler and Harry Zellers, her sisters, Helen Faller, and Janet Drebushenko.

Funeral service for Hope will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 1605 Rockland Street, Reading, on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow in Dryville Cemetery. The family will receive guests and relatives in Bean Funeral Home, Reading, on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
