Holly G. "Gabbi" Rhodes

Holly G. “Gabbi” Rhodes, 68, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 in her home in Lower Alsace Township. She was the wife of David Michael “G” Rhodes.  Born in West Reading, Holly was the daughter of Joyce F. (Fidler) Gromis, a resident at Country Meadows of Wyomissing and the late Leonard R. “Pat” Gromis. She was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Mount Penn High School, class of 1973. Holly received an associate degree in Specialized Business/Court and Convention Reporting. She was a founding partner of Computerized Reporting Services in 1990 and served in the capacity of Stenographer/Registered Professional Reporter retiring in June 2020. 

Holly enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters more than anything. In addition to her husband and mother, Holly is survived by her two children Matthew M. Rhodes, wife Laura of Exeter Township, and Shannon J. Rhodes of Mount Penn; her two granddaughters Ryan and Reagan; and her brother Carey Gromis, wife Cheryl of Torrance, California.

Holly will be missed by all who knew her, but now that this tireless journey is over, she is home where she belongs.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Dorothy L. Worhun will officiate. An Additional Celebration of Life Service will be held at Legends, 2545 North 5^th Street Highway, Reading, Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
