Hipolito Olmeda

Hipolito Olmeda, 83, of Reading, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in his residence. He was the beloved husband of Adelaida (Pagan-Velez) of Reading. Together they shared 52 years of marriage.

Born in Hormigueros, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Hipolito Velez and Salvadora (Olmeda).

During his life he was a store room attendant, for Sealed Air. He served the Unites States Army. Hipolito was a family man and animal lover. He enjoyed nature and gardening and enjoyed time with his grandchildren and granddogs

In addition to his wife Adelaida, he survived by his children, Arlene Olmeda, of Reading; Hipolito Olmeda Jr., husband of Cori, of Temple; Nancy Perez, wife of Luis, of Auburn; grandchildren, Tyson and Miranda; sister, Eugenia Olmeda, of Reading; and his loving dog Gigi.

Graveside service will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery 3139 Kutztown Rd, Laureldale, PA 19605 on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10:00am. Bean Funeral Homes, Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made to www.beanfuneralhomes.com.
