Henry K. Gantkowski, 83, of Spring Twp. passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 6:25 p.m. at home.
Born in Poland, he was the son of the late Stanislaus Gantkowski and Marianna (Klinikowski) Gantkowski.
He was the husband of Betty M. (Marshall) Gantkowski. The couple shared 57 wonderful years of marriage.
He served with the Polish Army, before emigrating to the United States in 1945. He worked as a welder for Birdsboro Steel for 42 years, retiring in 1988.
He was a member, and former steward of the Polish Army Veterans Association, The Ingie Pingie Association, and Life Member of AAA.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: John H. Gantkowski of Sinking Spring, a daughter: Marie A. (Gantkowski) Ash, wife of Richard Ash; and a daughter in law: Virginia A. (Flanagan) Gantkowski of Sinking Spring.
There are also twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
He was pre deceased by a son: Stanley Henry Gantkowski, who passed away on December 14, 2006.
