Henry Crowther

Henry Richard Crowther (Dick), 84, passed away in his sleep at his Oley home on July 22, 2016. Mr. Crowther also had a residence in Indian Wells, California.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Cecil and Katherine Crowther.
Mr. Crowther graduated from Reading High School, and went on to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was employed by Illinois Tool Works in various capacities for 36 years, and retired as Vice Chairman in 1995.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Nancy A. (Leymeister) Crowther and his parents, Cecil and Katherine Crowther.
Mr. Crowther is survived by his son: Timothy R. Crowther and wife Joy; grandchildren: Ali Fitch and her husband Ryan, and Nathan Crowther. He is also survived by 3 step grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. A private Memorial Luncheon is planned for a later date.
