Helen Snyder

Helen Ahrens Weidner Snyder, 85, of Kutztown, formerly of Reading, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Harold C. Weidner and Helen M. (Ahrens) Weidner.

She was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School.

She worked as an Executive Secretary for Keystone Wholesale Grocery in Reading from 1942 to 1955, and later worked in the Accounting Dept, for Croll and Keck in Reading from 1972-1982.

She is survived by her daughter: Julie B. (Snyder), wife of Samuel Strauss of Abington, PA; and two sons: Eric J. Snyder of Lenhartsville, PA and Boston, MA, and Peter K. Snyder, husband of Denise M. Snyder of Lenhartsville.

There are also four grandchildren: Nathan & Garrett Strauss, and Ian and Peter A. Snyder.

She is also survived by a brother: David Ahrens Weidner of Columbia, MD.

In addition to her parents, she is pre deceased by brothers: Harold C. Weidner Jr. and William L. Weidner.

Her tight knit family was of utmost importance to her.
