Helen S. Isert, 86, of West Lawn, passed away April 6, 2010 at 6:43 PM in her residence. She was the wife of Thomas M. Isert. Born in Carlyle, IL on August 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Schneider) Spitz.
Mrs. Isert was a 1941 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Carlyle, IL. She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola RCC, Whitfield. She was the past CYO representative and cheerleader coach at St. Ignatius, Past President of Holy Name High School Blue Jay Club, Past Treasurer of Van Reed Recreation Assn. She loved knitting, crocheting, sports, travel and playing bridge.
Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 sons Timothy L. Isert husband of Melva M. Harrison of Mohnton, Terrence M. Isert husband of Althea Danielski of Minneapolis, MN and a daughter Tracy M. (Isert) Mullendore of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 2 grandchildren Ethan and Leah Isert of Minneapolis, MN , a step grandchild Jame Harrison of Mohnton., and 2 sisters Virginia (Spitz) Diesen of Chesterfield, MO and Marie (Spitz) Wilkinson of Centralia, IL. She was predeceased by a sister Catherine Kiehna and a brother Joseph Spitz.
