Harvey Hoffman, Jr

Harvey E. Hoffman, Jr., 84 of Allentown, formerly of Reading, passed away August 14, 2010 at 3:10 pm in ManorCare Health Services, Salisbury Township, Lehigh County. He was the husband of Doris J. (Richards)Hoffman. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Harvey E. Sr. and Ruth(Guiles)Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman was owner, operator and salesman for The Original Kiddie Corner(Store to your door) in Allentown for 57 years, retiring December of 2006. He was also a minister at The New Apostolic Church in Allentown. He served in the United States Army during WWII and played softball for the Allentown Patriots Old Timers. He was a member of New Apostolic Church in Allentown. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hoffman is survived by his children, William E. Skipper, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA; Jan L. Smith of Walnutport; John H. Hoffman at home; James R. Hoffman of Roswell, GA along with 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard J. Hoffman in 1967.
