Harry Whitmoyer, Jr

Harry A.(Fish) Whitmoyer, Jr., 88, of Reading, passed away January 11, 2010 at 11:10 am in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Dorothy G.(Summers) Whitmoyer who passed away December 3, 1982. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Harry A. Whitmoyer, Sr. and Florence(Snyder) Whitmoyer. Mr. Whitmoyer was employed by the Reading School District for over 20 years as a maintenance worker retiring in 1991. He served during WWII in the United States Army, was past president of Stony Creek Athletic Association and a life member of Oakbrook Fire Company. He played reight field for the West Reading Cowboys semi-pro baseball team for many years. Mr. Whitmoyer is survived by his son Ronald L. husband of Michele D. Whitmoyer of Cumru Township and his daughter Patricia A. wife of William L. Reed, Sr. with whom he last resided. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister Pauline Dobrosky of Muhlenberg Township and his Loving Companion Kathy Emery of Reading.
