Harry Marks

Harry R. (Bob) Marks, 86, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away January 26, 2010 at 10:53 am in his residence of natural causes. He was the husband of Bette M. (Greenwell) Marks to whom he was married for 63 years. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Jennie(Ressel) Marks. He was a welder for Brown Trailers in Reading for 11 years then for Birdsboro Corp. for 11 years retiring in 1986. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of WWII, receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with oak leaf cluster, Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal with one Bronze Battle Star, and to his credit, flew 44 missions out of China Berma India. He was a member of Firemans Relief Association of Berks County and Junior Fire Company of Reading. Mr. Marks is survived by his daughter Jan E. Marks of Muhlenberg Township and his sister June C. (Marks) Kemmerer of Reading.
