Harold Stephens

Harold T. Stephens, 100, formerly of Reading, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 3:50 am in Berks Heim where he resided since April 2015. Born in Reading he was the son of the late William H. and Catherine A. (Faust) Stephens. He was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church and served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a service representative for the Social Security Administration in Reading for 30 years retiring in 1975. Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Crist and his brother William Stephens. He is survived by his niece Patricia A. Zackowski, wife of William B. Zackowski, Jr. of Corona, California.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Reverend Joseph S. Ganser, Celebrant. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 1018 North 8th Street, Reading, PA 19604 in memory of Mr. Harold T. Stephens.
