H. Ruppert

H. Richard Ruppert, 84, of Spring Township, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at 4:30 am in his home. He was the husband of the late Charmayne M. (Jones) Ruppert who passed away December 4, 2013. Born in Reading he was the son of the late Alfred and Helen (Hafer) Ruppert. Mr. Ruppert was a 1949 graduate of Reading High School, served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in West Lawn. He was a store supervisor at Acme Markets for 47 years retiring in 1989. Mr. Ruppert is survived by his children Michael R. Ruppert, husband of Colleen Ruppert of Sinking Spring and Lori E. Ruppert of Sinking Spring along with his grandchildren Ryan, Jayme and Kendall. He is also survived by his sister Mildred Wiest of Topton.
Funeral Services will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 11:00 am. Reverend Mark R. Rigg will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 10-11:00 am.
