Grover C. Buntain

Grover C. Buntain, of Birdsboro Pennsylvania, was ninety-three when he passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023, at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband to Mary Jane (Sturdevant) for over sixty-eight years. Born in St. John, Kansas, Grover was the son of the late Zanzibar E. Buntain and his wife Celia (Hudson). He enjoyed the outdoors along with a passion for poetry and music. His greatest love though, was to serve his heavenly father Jehovah and His people in every way. Friends, family, and all who knew him, will deeply miss his love and heartfelt kindness.

He leaves a cherished memory for his wife, Mary Jane and his two children, Gale Buntain with his wife Cynthia of McKinney, Texas, and Deborah Bowlby, with her husband Donald E. Bowlby of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania. He had five grandchildren, Chelsea Slocum, with her husband Robert, Buffie Hudock, with her husband Daniel, Ryan Buntain, Christopher Bowlby, with his wife Karen, and Corey Bowlby, with his wife Shaunna.

Memorial service for Grover will be on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. EST, located at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4880 Oak Parkway, Reading PA 19606. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. EST.
