Grace Robbins

Grace N. Robbins, 99, formerly of Reading, passed away June 28, 2010 at 5:40 pm in The Reading Hospital & Medical Center where she was a patient since June 27, 2010. She was taken to the hospital from Elmcroft of Reading where she resided for 1 year. She was the wife of the late William T. Reedy who passed away in 1958 and was sports editor at the Reading Eagle Company for 42 years and Harry J. Robbins who passed away May 10, 1989. Born in Worman, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late William Earl and Sallie(Romich) Noble. She was a 1926 graduate of Boyertown High School. Mrs. Robbins was a secretary for the Berks County Intermediate Unit for 11 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Reading, where she was an active member of St. Mary's 70's Sisters group. Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by her sons, Dr. William T. Reedy, Jr. and James T. Reedy. She is survived by her grandsons, James T. Jr. husband of Kelly Reedy of Franklin, Tenn,, Stephen W. husband of Adrienne Reedy of Wilton, Conn. and David M. husband of Marie Reedy of Charlotte, NC.along with 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her Foster daughter, Nora W. wife of William Kulas of Venice, FL, her niece, Shirley E. Mutter of Wyomissing along with other nieces and a nephew, and her daughter in law, Linda L. Reedy, widow of James T. Reedy of Reading.
