Grace Mease

Grace E. Mease, 91, a local piano teacher. Resident of Lutheran Home at Topton and formerly of Muhlenberg Township passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018. She began her teaching career at age 16 and continued teaching until age 90. Grace was very active in the Reading Music Teachers Association for many years serving as secretary and historian and as president from 1984-1986. She was also very active in the Grace Bible Fellowship Church serving as accompanist and teacher. Over the years, she and her close friend of many years, Anna McCoy, recently deceased, traveled to many countries around the world. Grace is survived by her brother Arthur N. Mease, and fondly remembered by her hundreds of friends and students.
Services will be at convenience of the family. Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Reading Music Teachers Association, Scholarship Fund, Reading Musical Foundation, P.O. Box 14835, Reading, Pa 19612.
