Gloria Mcferren

Gloria Faye (Himmelberger) McFerren, 72, of West Lawn, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Manor Care Sinking Spring, where she had been a patient for two weeks.

Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Eva (Banks) Himmelberger, and widow of the late Patrick R. McFerren, who passed away on August 22, 2006.

She was a 1955 graduate of Lebanon High School, and member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing, where she was a long time choir member.

She worked for 33 years as a Special Education Instructor for the Reading School District, retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Sinking Spring chapter of T.O.P.S.

She is survived by her sons: Devin P. of Sinking Spring, and Michael P. of Robesonia.

There are also five grandchildren.
