Gloria Breidegam

Gloria S. Breidegam, 79, of Wernersville, passed away May 30, 2011 at 11:00 am in The Reading Hospital & Medical Center. She was the wife of Harold L. Breidegam and was preceded in death by her first husband John C. Reed in July of 1962. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Marguerite M. (Seyler) Smith. She was a graduate of Reading High School and was employed as a receptionist for Dr. Sheffer at St. Lawrence Medical Center and later as a caretaker. She enjoyed listening to the radio especially WEEU Feedback. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children John C. Jr. husband of Janet A. Reed of Temple, Andrea L. wife of Randal Habecker of Leesport and Kathy wife of Scott Layman of Leola along with grandchildren Tara, Danny and his wife Amanda, Nathan, Kylie and Collin. Also surviving are her brothers George A. Smith loving companion of Pearl Stewart of Reading and James R. husband of Kathleen Smith of Wernersville. She was preceded in death by her brother Daniel J. Smith. She is also survived by her loving niece Debbie Ioannidi of Sinking Spring as well as several nieces and nephews and her great uncle Joe Himmel of Hawaii.
