Gladys Laity

Gladys I. "Rene" Laity, 90, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 6:00 am in her home. She was the wife of the late Arlan W. Laity who passed away in --. Born in Muhlenberg Township, Mrs. Laity was the daughter of the late Samuel and Agnes (Heffner) Heffner. She was head of the shipping department at Robert Emig Products in Reading. She was an avid Leesport Bingo Player, enjoyed crocheting and was known as the "Candy Lady" of Muhlenberg Township for her Easter Eggs. Mrs. Laity is survived by her children Brian W. Laity, husband of the late Cynthia Laity of Shartlesville and Eileen M. Noll, wife of the late Dennis Noll of Bern Township and her grandchildren Troy, Denise, Christopher, Chad and her great grandchildren Thomas Gayle, Jordan, Riley, Logan, Paige, Morgan and her great great granddaughter Paislee. Also surviving are her sisters Geraldine Hughes of Muhlenberg Township and Doris Sherman of Muhlenberg Township.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
