Gilbert Tardif

Gilbert J. Tardif, 76, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 2:30 pm in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Ville St. Pierre, Montreal, Canada, Mr. Tardif was the son of the late Phillip M. and Emily (Boulet) Tardif. He was a 1960 graduate of Cranford High School in New Jersey and attended Newark College of Engineering from 1960-1962 and became a licensed securities representative in 1997. He was a registered investment advisor and owner of GT & Associates for 25 years. Mr. Tardif was of the United Methodist Faith and was a 32nd degree Mason with Chandler Lodge 227 F&AM. He served as Trustee of Permanent Fund with Chandler Lodge and was active in the Shrine and the Ancient Order of Scottish Rite. Mr. Tardif is survived by his children John P. Tardif, husband of Kathleen Tardif of Raleigh, North Carolina; Robert S. Tardif of Reading; Heather L. Stierly, wife of Michael R. Stierly of Mohnton and Crystina K. Tardif, wife of Taylor N. Cave of Philadelphia and his grandchildren Maggie Tardif, Katie Tardif and Parker Stierly. Mr. Tardif is also survived by his brother Kenneth Tardif of New Jersey and was preceded in death by his son Gilbert J. Tardif in 1990 and his sister Joann Audino.
The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave. Shillington, Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12 Noon. Masonic Service will be conducted by Chandler Lodge 227 F&AM at 12 Noon. Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
