Gerald “Jerry” S. Wallace, 72, of Shillington, passed away on January 28, 2021 in his home. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Joseph F. Wallace and Mary C. (Denatale) Wallace-Dillon. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He graduated from Reading High School and received his Associates Degree from Reading Area Community College. Jerry worked as a Mechanical Drafter for Dana Corporation for 15 years before retiring. He was a member of the Audubon Society. Jerry was a peaceful man and was an avid wildlife photographer, his specialty was photographing birds. Jerry loved spending time and get togethers with his beloved family.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Toni M. (Wallace) Howe, wife of Stanford R. Howe of Bernville, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary C. (Wallace) Colna.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring at 11:45 a.m., with Military Honors rendered by the United States Air Force. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humane Society at Humane Pennsylvania, 1729 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604 or to the charity of your choice in honor of Jerry Wallace.
