Geraldine Weitzel

Geraldine A. "Geri" Weitzel, 83, formerly of Reading, passed away August 14, 2016 in Berks Heim surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of Arthur E. Weitzel, Sr who passed away October 13, 1988.
She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marie D. (Dipasquale) Guadagno.

Mrs. Weitzel was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church. She was employed at Raylon Beauty Supply as a packer for 10 years and as an examiner at Elite Sportswear for 13 years until her retirement.
Geri loved to play bingo and going to the casinos.

She was preceded in death by her children Arthur E. Weitzel, Jr. on December 18, 2005 and MarieLana W. (Lana) Blanck on June 3, 2010; they both were donors for the Gift of Life Program.

Survivors include six grandchildren: Dr. Bryan Blanck, husband of Nicole; Marco Cipolla, husband of Vanessa; Nicholas Blanck, companion of Jamie Artz; Arthur E. Weitzel, III, husband of Jillian; Anthony Weitzel, companion of Jessica and Marissa Weitzel; 5 great-grandchildren Ava and Jake Blanck; Nicholas and Nathan Lewis and Oliver Cipolla and her sister Irene Crammer of Shillington. She was preceded in death by siblings Marguerite G. Rathman; Anna Mae Spolski; Catherine G. Wiczalkowski; Theresa M. Wawrzonek; Lucia Pavusich; Marie L. "Toby" Crammer; James Guadagno and George Guadagno.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Geri's memory to The Gift of Life Program: 401 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:00am at Holy Rosary RCC, 237 Franklin Street, Reading, PA 19602, Rev. Keith A. Mathur celebrant. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 6:00-8:00pm and Friday 8:45am-9:15am at Bean Funeral Homes, 129 East Lancaster Avenue, Shillington, PA 19607.
