Geraldine “Geri” E. Strassner Geraldine “Geri” E. Strassner, 81, of Reading, passed away Monday January 11, 2021 in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. She was the wife of William G. Strassner. Born in Reading, Geri was the daughter of the late Earl R. and Vivian R. (Lindner) Fisher. She was a member of Reading Moravian Church and was retired from Burlington Coat Factory. She lovingly and quietly cared for family and friends when she saw a need. In addition to her husband, Geri is survived by her children Rosemarie A., wife of Steve Gehringer of Muhlenberg Township and Robert J. Burkart, husband of Stephanie A. Burkart of Brecknock Township and her step-children Kim Strassner of Irvine, CA and William C. Strassner, husband of Nancy Strassner of Hazleton. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and was preceded in death by her grandson Matthew A. Burkart and brother Robert Fisher. Funeral Service will be held at Reading Moravian Church 1116 Perry Street, Reading, Monday, January 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Reverend Ronald Rice will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Reading Moravian Church, Monday 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 in memory of Mrs. Geraldine E. Strassner.
