Geraldine “Gerry” M. (Kase) Buser, 96, of Sinking Spring passed away surrounded by her loving family in her home on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Rosella (Ehrig) and William Kase, Sr. She was the beloved wife of James P. Buser who passed away October 9, 2001. Gerry was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, putting together puzzles, and going to the casinos. Gerry’s true calling was being a mother and she cherished every moment spent with her family.
Gerry is survived by her children; Patricia E. Konopelski of Exeter, James “Skip” A. Buser, husband of Shirley of Sinking Spring, Kathleen Edwards of Sinking Spring, Daniel W. Buser, husband of Marcia of Lincoln Park, and Bonnie E. Clements, wife of Earl of Bern Township. Also surviving are her 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and her sister, Mildred O’Neill. In addition to her husband, James, Gerry is preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Buser, Sr., and her siblings; Franklin, Robert, Margaret, William Jr., Eleanor, and Pearl.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:45 am in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Dr., Reading, PA 19609. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, March 6, 2023 from 10:45 am to 11:45 am in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery following the mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Geraldine M. Buser to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and/or to St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2600 St. Albans Dr., Reading, PA 19609.
