George C. Yochum, 87, formerly of Stony Creek Mills, passed away May 25, 2010 at 3:30 AM in Villa at Morlattan Assisted Care where he resided 8 months. He was the husband of Jane F. (Fox) Yochum who passed away June 19, 1979. Born in Harrisburg on November 29, 1922, he was the son of the late George C. and Esther (Machemer) Yochum.
Mr. Yochum served in the US Army during World War 2 and attended Albright College for two years.
Mr. Yochum was employed in quality control at Parish Pressed Steel Division of Dana Corp. for 30 years retiring in 1980.
Surviving are 2 daughters Louise J. Yochum and Wendy J. (Yochum) wife of Robert Silcox both of Pennside, 2 sons Kim R. Yochum husband of Laura Yochum of Lexington, SC and Lee K. Yochum husband of Michele Yochum of Stony Creek Mills, 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a brother J. Karl Yochum of Charlottesville, VA.
