George Yaslunis

George E. Yaslunis, 98, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 12:20 a.m. at Manor Care Laureldale, where he had been a patient since February 5, 2009.

Born in Shamokin, PA, he was the son of the late William Yaslunis and Katherine (Yescavage) Yaslunis.

He was the widower of Agnes L. (Dargavich) Yaslunis, who passed away in 1981, and Carolyn A. (Cody) Yaslunis, who passed away in 2005.

He was the owner and operator of Yaslunis Lawn Mowers Inc. in Reading for 44 years, retiring in 2002. He previously was self employed working in heating and air conditioning.

He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C.C, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society.

He is survived by his daughters: Marie R. (Yaslunis), wife of Wayne C. Haas of Ontelaunee Twp.; Nancy A. (Yaslunis), widow of Frank T. Slovik of Ontelaunee Twp; step daughters: Nancy C. (Vath), wife of Robert Smith of Muhlenberg Twp., and Bernice A. "Bonnie" (Vath), wife of James Greth of Covington, GA.

There are also four grandchildren, four step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter.
