George Wassner

George P. "Big G." Wassner, 79, of Spring Township passed away October 24, 2008 at 6:22 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was a loving and devoted husband to Lorraine M. (Ross) Wassner to whom he was married for 51 years. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late George and Anna (Muskey) Wassner. Mr. Wassner was a graduate of Scranton Tech High School and was a machinist and tool maker at Dana Parish Frame Division in Reading for 28 years retiring in 1991. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army and was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle RCC in Shillington. In addition to his wife he was a loving and devoted father to Thomas J. Wassner of Lower Heidelberg Township; Richard J. Wassner at home; George G. husband of Lyn R. Wassner of South Heidelberg Township and a loving and devoted grandfather to Ashleigh Lyn and Brittany Ann Wassner.
