George Evans

George E. Evans, 90, of Cumru Township, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at his home. He was the loving husband to Arlene L. (Deysher) for over 64 years of marriage. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late, Charles R. Evans Sr. and Florence M. (Eckert). George served in the United States Navy Reserves, and later went on to work as a Roll Grinder for Carpenter Technology for over 28 years, before his retirement in 1987. He was a lifetime member of Lincoln Park Fire Company as well as a lifetime member of the Skyline Drive Corvette Club.

In addition to his wife, Arlene, George is survived by his children, Rick Evans, Husband of Marcia, of West Wyomissing, and Michelle Reich, wife of Harold, of Robesonia. He is also survived by his 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson, 4 great grandsons, and 1 great granddaughter. George is also survived by his twin brother Charles R. Evans Jr, husband of Joan, of Mifflin Park.

Predeceasing George is his son, Michael Evans, his step son, David Hunsberger, and his granddaughter, Wendy Hunsberger.
