Gennaro Spignesi

Gennaro A. Spignesi, 85, of Wyomissing, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the Reading Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Dolores M. (Faraone) Spignesi. Born in Bronx, New York he was the son of the late Nicola Spignesi and Rose (Caprio) Spignesi. Gennaro graduated from Bedford Stuyvesant High School. He went on to serve in the United States Navy during the Korean War. During his life he was employed as the Director of Purchasing for Sensient Corporation, later retiring. In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his children, Diane M. Spignesi-Dillman, of Spring Township; Rose-Ann Spignesi, of Glen Mills; Nick Spignesi, husband of Karen, of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Samantha Dillman; Danielle Dillman; Jessica Zukus; Sara Midwood; Christina Spignesi; Caroline Spignesi; Cameron Spignesi; and Quinten Spignesi.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive Reading, 19608 on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:00am. Entombment will follow at Gethsemane Mausoleum. The family will receive relatives and friends at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn. Ave. Sinking Spring, 19608 on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 6:00pm- 8:00pm and Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 9:30-10:00am at the church.
