Gary A. Lord

Gary A. Lord, 82, of Mohnton, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Reading Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Gary was the loving husband to Dorothy A. (Rozetar) for over 53 years of marriage before her passing on November 15, 2020. Born in Pottsville, PA, Gary was the son of the late George S. Lord Sr. and Anna F. (Karmen). Gary served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and went on to work for himself in the Collections Industry.

Gary enjoyed traveling with his wife & family over the years, music and concerts, camping, bowling, gardening, watching sports and sitting on his porch talking with family, friends and neighbors who became like family to him. He loved attending his grandsons’ hockey and baseball games, while not hesitating to express himself upon disagreeing with the officiant’s calls on the ice or field. 

Gary is survived by his children, Scott A. Lord, husband of Stacy, of Morgantown, Cheryl A. Lord, companion of Michael Dreisbach, of West Lawn, and his grandchildren, Jack and Nathan Lord. He is also survived by his brothers, George S. Lord Jr. and Dennis “Denny” Lord.

In addition to his parents and wife, Dorothy, Gary is predeceased by brothers, Ronald Lord, and Richard Lord.

Funeral service for Gary will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:30 AM in Bean Funeral Homes, 129 E. Lancaster Ave, Shillington. Interment to follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and guests in Bean Funeral Home, Shillington, on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
