Gary W. Bleecher, 70, of South Heidelberg Township, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, in his residence. He is survived by his wife Ruth A. (Mease) Bleecher having been together for 17 years, married for 8 years. Born in Lancaster, Mr. Bleecher was the son of the late R. Frederick and Elizabeth Jane (Quino) Bleecher. He was a 1970 graduate of McCaskey High School in Lancaster and the Weaver Airline Personnel School, Kansas City, MO, September 1972. Mr. Bleecher was employed for 45 years as an automobile salesman for various dealerships last working for Outten -Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep, retiring October 2016. He was a member of Sinking Spring VFW, Lincoln Park Fire Company, and Mohnton Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed dancing, boating, snow and water skiing, hunting, fishing, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bleecher is survived by his children Alyssa Rae Smith, wife of Tyler Smith of Blandon, Brandin William Bleecher of Robesonia, and Adam Frederick Bleecher of West Lawn, his step-children Kimberly Shank, wife of Brandon Shank of Harrisburg, Andrew Pawlyk, husband of Maggie Pawlyk, of Baltimore and his grandchildren Makenna and Aiden Fritz, Myla Smith, Peyton and Jaxin Bleecher and his step-grandchildren Carter and Macklin Shank and Sawyer and Hewitt Pawlyk. He is also survived by his siblings Robert F. Bleecher of Lancaster, Karen L. Holihan, wife of Tom Holihan of Frankford, DE, Dorene E. Brandt, wife of Dean Brandt of Manheim, and Brian K. Bleecher of Elkton, MD, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 4:00 pm. Amy S. Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive family and friends at Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory Saturday from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 in memory of Mr. Gary W. Bleecher.
