Franklin Baker

January 11, 1937 — December 26, 2016

Franklin S. Baker, 79, of Spring Township, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016 in ManorCare Laureldale. He was the beloved husband, of Barbara A. (Shoemaker) Baker. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Franklin K. and Zetta (Schubert) Baker. Mr. Baker graduated from Williamsport High School in 1956 and from Williamsport Technical Institute in 1960. He also worked for many years for Gilbert Associates, as an architectural draftsman and at US Life Insurance Company in graphic arts and printing. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sister, Barbara B. Young of Williamsport, niece, Susan Matty of State College, nephew, David Young of Ohio, and 2 grandnieces and 2 grandnephews.

Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1:15 pm. Douglas F. Didyoung Sr. SALM will officiate. Interment will follow in Alsace Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Masonic Service will be conducted by Reading Lodge #549, F&AM at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to OnebyOne, Inc., P.O. Box 272 Temple, PA 19560, in memory of Franklin S. Baker.
