Forrest C. "Bud" Shoff, 88 of Centre Township, formerly of Wyomissing passed away on December 16, 2008 at 4:33 am in his residence. He was the loving husband of Jean E. (Focht) Shoff to whom he was married for 63 years. Born in Pilottown, MD, he was the son of the late Henry John and Annie M. (Williams) Shoff. He was employed as a foreman of Warehousing at Orr and Sembower in Reading for 23 years, then as a label operator at A-Treat Bottling in Wyomissing for 14 years, retiring in 1983. He was later employed as a part time police officer in Robesonia and Heidelberg Township. Mr. Shoff was an Army veteran of WWII and a Staff Sgt. for Observation Battallion. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Robesonia, volunteer fire fighter for 54 years; life member of Carl Anspach Post 732 American Legion-Robesonia; Life member of Goodwill Fire Company-Hyde Park; life member of Pioneer Hose Company in Robesonia; life member of Berks County Fire Police Association, held 12 offices; member of the Berks County Fireman's Association and a member of the Fireman's Association of PA. In addition to his wife, Mr. Shoff was a Loving Father to Donald J. Shoff husband of Judith Lanier of Round Hill, VA; Larry A. husband of Debbie(Wilson) Shoff of Copley, OH; Virginia J. (Shoff) wife of Warren E. Snyder, Jr. with whom he last resided; Sharon E. (Shoff) wife of Linn M. Wartzenluft of Wyomissing and a Loving Grandfather to 13 grandchildren and Loving Great Grandfather to 12 great grandchildren.
