Forrest J. "Rocky" Kehres, 92, of Spring Township, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 1:57 pm in his home. He was the husband of Debra (Loorie) Kehres and was preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis Virginia (Reed) Kehres who passed away in 1989. Born in Sacramento, PA, Mr. Kehres was the son of the late Lawrence A. and Hilda (Mayer) Kehres. He was a graduate of Wilson High School and served in the United States Air Force during World War II. Mr. Kehres was a tool & die supervisor at Dana Corp. for 37 years until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, reading, traveling, wood working and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his wife Debra, Mr. Kehres is survived by his children Lawrence A. Kehres of Leesport; Scott T. Kehres of Leesport and Leisa A. Niggel, wife of John A. Niggel of Sinking Spring. He is also survived by his step children Lisa Gold, wife of Martin Gold of New York and Laurie Reynolds, wife of Kevin Reynolds of Portland, Oregon. Also surviving are his grandchildren Clinton; Bradley; Maggie; Nathan; Janelle; Meghan and Jason along with his 9 great grandchildren and 8 step grandchildren. Mr. Kehres is also survived by his sister Phyllis Ruth of West Lawn.
Celebration of Life Tribute Service with Military Honors will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 7:30 pm. Amy Landis, Certified Celebrant will officiate. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory Thursday 6:00-7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project PO Box 75517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517 in memory of Mr. Forrest J. Kehres.
