Florence E. Lengel, 85, of Wyomissing, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 3:15 am in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. She was the wife of the late Paul A. Lengel, Jr. who passed away July 18, 2001 and prior to his death, they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with family and close friends. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Szewczyk) Dempkowski. She was a member of Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church and devoted her life to her children and her family. Mrs. Lengel is survived by her children Gary P. Lengel, husband of Charlotte Lengel of Galloway, New Jersey; Jeffrey M. Lengel, husband of Virginia Lengel of Russell Springs, Kentucky; Linda S. Russo, wife of Anthony C. Russo of Fleetwood; Patricia D. Lengel of Chalfont, Pennsylvania and Eric T. Lengel, husband of Laurian L. Lengel of Pennside. She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael, Kathleen, Brenton, Cal, Matthew, Zachary, Brianna and Clarissa and her great granddaughter Madison. Also surviving is a devoted member of her family, her brother in law, James E. Lengel, husband of Donna Lengel of Pennside.
Funeral procession will depart Bean Funeral Home, 6 Fairlane Road, Exeter Township, Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:15 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township at 11:00 am. Reverend Brian M. Miller, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home, Monday 9-10:15 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Greater Berks Food Bank, 117 Morgan Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 in memory of Mrs. Florence E. Lengel.
