Fern Trievel

Fern M. Trievel, 91, of Sinking Spring, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 5:30 am in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Elwood W. Trievel, Sr. who passed away in 1980. Born in Spring Township, Mrs. Trievel was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Edna (Moyer) Leinbach. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Wyomissing where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and former Treasurer. Mrs. Trievel was a buyer in the lingerie department at Whitners Department Store and then as an assistant manager/bookkeeper for Pandora in the VF Outlet Center. She was a hard working women and caregiver to her husband, mother and father and family was her life. Mrs. Trievel was a loving mother to Elwood W. Trievel, Jr. of Sinking Spring and Jean M. Gehris, wife of Owen L. Gehris of Cumru Township. She is also survived by her grandchildren Felicia Trievel; Michelle Ulrich, wife of Dennis Ulrich; Jason Gehris, husband of Abby Gehris; Joel Trievel, husband of Jen Trievel and Rochelle Pelachick, wife of Michael Pelachick of Sinking Spring who Mrs. Trievel loved as a granddaughter. Also surviving are her great grandchildren Laila Gehris; Jerome Gehris; Chase Ulrich; Katey Trievel and Lucas Trievel. Mrs. Trievel was preceded in death by her brother Harry E. Leinbach, Jr.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:00 am. Reverend Mandy Miller will officiate. Interment will follow in Sinking Spring Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 6-8:00 pm and Thursday from 9:30-10:00 am.
