Fern Mathewson

Fern G. Mathewson, 84, of Wyomissing, passed away May 1, 2010 at 7:40 PM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center where she was a patient since April 14th. She was the wife of George J. Mathewson who passed away September 22, 1983. Born in Reading on May 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Alice R. (Moyer) Templin.

Mrs. Mathewson was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School. She was a cosmetician at Thrift Drug Store in Muhlenberg Twp. for over 25 years retiring in 1994. Fern was a member of Holy Sprit Lutheran Church, Reading.

Surviving are 2 daughters Georgene (Mathewson) wife of Dennis A. Bricker of Robesonia and Peggy I. (Mathewson) wife of Donald J. Umbenhauer of Sinking Spring and 2 grandchildren Julie I. Umbenhauer and Michael J. Umbenhauer
