Fay Sweigart

Fay B. Sweigart, 78, formerly of West Lawn, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 11:26 am in Rittenhouse Senior Living Center. She was the wife of the late Irvin R. "Dutch" Sweigart who passed away July 6, 2006. Born in Sellersville, Mrs. Sweigart was the daughter of the late Edward D. and Helen (Bancker) Harkness. She was a 1958 graduate of Wilson High School and a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sweigart was employed by Wilson High School as a secretary for 10 years retiring in 1988. She is survived by her children Wendy S. Hathaway, wife of Jeff Hathaway of Ephrata; Linda L. Creasey, wife of Michael Creasey of Chesterfield, VA and Robert I. Sweigart of West Reading and her grandchildren Rachael and Nicholaus Creasey. Mrs. Sweigart is also survived by her brother Thomas Harkness of Wyomissing and was preceded in death by her siblings John Harkness, Ernestine W. Remp, Mary E. Clark, Catherine Fatzinger, Helen L. Southworth, Alice Southworth and Sister Marie Earnestine Harkness.
Interment will be held privately by the family in Pleasant View Cemetery. Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
