Fay C. Firestone, 78, of Shillington, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10:38 am in her home. She was the wife of the late Henry Firestone who passed away February 19, 2003. Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late William J. and Elsie (Paine) Stephenson. She was a seamstress at Hamburg Knitting Mill and also Springford Knitting Mill in Reading. She enjoyed line dancing, bowling and taking trips with the Rajah Shriners and served as a volunteer with the Mifflin ENCORE Center. Mrs. Firestone is survived by her daughters Cindy L. O'Neil of Lake Wylie, South Carolina and Karen L. Grill, loving companion of Bradley S. Swavely of Mohnton. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kelly, Colleen, Holly, Joshua, Travis and Katie along with her 9 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Firestone was preceded in death by her brothers William R. Stephenson, Gerald Stephenson and Donald Stephenson.
Graveside Services will be held in Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Road, Maidencreek Township, Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 11:00 am. Reverend David J. Duquette will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Heart Association 968 Postal Road, Suite 110, Allentown, PA 18109 or The Animal Rescue League of Berks County PO Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540 in memory of Mrs. Fay C. Firestone. Bean Funeral Home, 129 East Lancaster Ave., Shillington is in charge of arrangements and online condolences may be made at www.beanfuneralhomes.com
