Evelyn A. Hoppman, 90, of Reading, passed away on Saturday, April 11th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Tuesday. She was transferred there from Manor Care, Sinking Spring, where she had been a patient for two years.
Born in Reading, she was the widow of Carl Hoppman, who passed away on November 4, 1990.
She worked as a waitress for Mountain Springs, Galen Hall, and Columbia House, retiring in 1983.
She is survived by her sons: Dennis L., husband of Janice Hoppman of Wernsville, Carl D., husband of Joyce Hoppman of Wernersville, Richard, husband of Sandra Hoppman of Fritztown; daughters: Shirley (Hoppman), widow of Vernon Becker of Reading, and Carole (Hoppman), wife of Robert Vitale of Alaska.
There are also seven grandchildren: Stephen, Randy, Debra, C. David, Sherry, Rick, and Dennis; and eleven great grandchildren.
