Evan Ream

Evan John Ream passed away unexpectedly in his home in Reading, PA on Friday May 21, 2021, aged 30 years.  Evan leaves behind a heartbroken family; his father Randy L Ream, mother Debbie A (Colon) Ream and sister Marissa Q Ream all of Exeter Twp. Evan also leaves a son, Gage, with adoptive parents in Virginia

He also leaves behind his grandparents Francisco and Carmen Colon and grandmother Jolene C Bean, widow of James Bean.  In addition, like grandparents to Evan, his great uncle and aunt Kurt and Jan Krommes.  There are many other family members who love and will miss Evan as well as friends too numerous to list.

Evan was a 2009 graduate of Exeter Twp. High School and briefly attended Kutztown University before venturing into the world.  Evan spent his 20's sometimes living in Philadelphia and sometimes back in Berks and also spent time living on the island of St Croix in the US Virgin Islands.  He worked at many jobs including Target, Rittenhouse Hotel, Starbucks, Grease Stop, Goodwill Industries, PackTec, and Reading Truck Body.  During this time Evan also obtained his HVAC certification from BCTC, Oley, PA.

Most notable, though, was Evan's artistic talents.  He displayed them at an early age by perfectly and accurately drawing the characters he loved from TV cartoons and video games.  He also easily mastered guitar as a young teen.  He chose to pursue his art as a graffiti artist in both Philly and Berks and his "Amare" tags became well known and admired by his peers.  Upon the news of his passing the tributes have been pouring in on social media.  Not only about his art, but also his shining light as a person.  We've been so touched by the number of friends and the kind words and memories they've been sharing.  We thank you all.
