Ethel Foley

Ethel M. "Peg" Foley, 88, formerly of West Lawn, passed away December 2, 2015 in Penn State Health-St. Joseph.
She was the widow of Daniel Foley who passed away in 2005.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Beatrice (Becker) Rissmiller.
Peg worked at several "Old Reading" restaurants including the Crystal, the Iris Club and the Berkshire Country Club. She had a gift for gardening and plants and had the most beautiful gardens on the block at her West Lawn home.
Surviving are children Clark A. Beck, companion of Celeste Thomas, Alsace Twp.; Terrence F. Beck, husband of Susan J., Penn Twp.; Robin L. Beck, Sr., Alsace Twp.; four grandchildren Clark A. Beck, Jr.; Robin Beck, Jr., husband of Margie; Amanda Miller, wife of Michael; Katherine A. Beck and five great-grandchildren. Other survivors include siblings Vernon "Sonny" J. Rissmiller; Jerry D. Rissmiller; Dorothy "June" Skucaz; Margie Shirey, wife of Bill and Nancy Wise. She was predeceased by sister Fern Bivans.
Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2:00pm, Rev. Robert E. Hinson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 1:00-2:00pm.
