Esther Dunkelberger

Esther M. Dunkelberger, 95, formerly of Reading passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at 1:40 am in the home of her daughter, Robin L. Naugle, wife of Harry E.Naugle of Ruscombmanor Township. Esther was the wife of the late Harry G. Dunkelberger who passed away September 3, 2015. Born in Reading, Mrs. Dunkelberger was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mae (Rissmiller) Becker. She was a 1940 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and was a member of Community E.C. Church in Sinking Spring. She was in charge of the Sunday School Nursery for many years, handled the prayer list for members who had problems, and was an active member of the Christian Women's Club. Esther worked for Bortz Chocolate Novelty Company in Reading as their computyper. In addition to her daughter Robin, she is survived by her son Dana G. Dunkelberger, husband of Judith Dunkelberger of Gilbert, South Carolina and was preceded in death by her son Richard L. Dunkelberger(Feb. 7, 2017), husband of Marcy Dunkelberger of West Reading. Esther was also preceded in death by 4 sisters. She is survived by her 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:00 am. Pastor Mike Snedeker will officiate. Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Friday 9:30-11:00 am.
