Esther Diefenderfer

Esther LaRue Diefenderfer, 90, of Alsace Township, passed away February 23, 2010 at 1:20 am in ManorCare-Muhlenberg Township. She was the wife of the late Ernest Diefenderfer who passed away in 1975. Born in Alsace Township, she was the daughter of the late George F. Beck, Sr. and Esther M. (Rhein) Beck. She was a musician and along with her sister Virginia, performed as the Hamilton Sisters, Dixie and Kandy performing on the West Coast. Mrs. Diefenderfer was a member of Reading East Congregation of Jehovah Witness. She is survived by her brother, George F. Beck, Jr. of Alsace Township, sisters, Virginia E. wife of Paul H. Bieber of Alsace Township and Dorothy E. Singleton of Alsace Township.
