Eric Lengel

Eric T. "Rick" Lengel, 53, of Pennside, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:30 am in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. He was the husband of Laurian L. (Barth) Lengel. Born in Reading, Rick was the son of the late Paul A. Lengel, Jr. and Florence E. Lengel. He was a graduate of Exeter High School where he participated on the swim team and became an accomplished swimmer having been awarded various medals and achieving Berks County records. He was an avid musician on the drums and keyboard and he truly loved his family. In addition to his wife Laurian, Rick is survived by his siblings Dr. Gary Lengel, husband of Charlotte Lengel of Galloway, New Jersey; Dr. Jeffrey Lengel, husband of Ginny Lengel of State College; Linda Russo, wife of Anthony Russo of Fleetwood and Patricia Lengel of Chalfont, PA. He is also survived by his loving uncle James "Jimmy" Lengel, husband of Donna Lengel of Pennside and 3 nieces and 5 nephews.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family requests that no flowers be sent, and request contributions to be made to the Reading Musical Foundation 201 Washington Street, Suite 503, Reading, PA 19601 in memory of Mr. Eric T.
