Elmer Bucks

Elmer Bucks, 80, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 6:15 am in his home. He was the husband of Joanne J. (Piergrossi) Bucks. Born in Reading, Mr. Bucks was the son of the late Ella Bucks. He was employed by the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Reading as a Superintendent for 34 years retiring July 23, 1994. Mr. Bucks was especially fond of his show horse, Tuffy, whom he showed in numerous states and was awarded Blue ribbons amongst others. He enjoyed traveling all over the world with his wife Joanne and especially going on cruises with his family. Most importantly were family dinners on Sundays when everyone gathered at his home. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bucks is survived by his children Steve Bucks, husband of Stacey Bucks of Colony Park; Dean Bucks, husband of Cindy Bucks of Fogelsville; Roxann Jarsocrak, wife of Eddie Jarsocrak of Shillington and Todd Bucks and his companion Judy of Bernville. He is also survived by his grandchildren Scott Bucks; David Bucks; Taylor Jarsocrak; Brandon Jarsocrak and Damian Bucks.
Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held in Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, North 16th & Rockland Streets, Hampden Heights, Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:30 am. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Monday 9:00-10:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 968 Postal Road, Suite 110, Allentown, PA 18109 in memory of Mr. Elmer Bucks.
