Eleanore Mason

Eleanore R. Mason, 93, of Grill, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 8:40 p.m. at Mifflin Center, Shillington, where she had been a patient since November 10, 1999.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Edwin S. Nace and Catherine (Parson) Nace, and husband of the late George J. Mason, who passed away October 18, 1987.

She worked as a folder for Mohnton Knitting for 9 years, retiring in 1976.

She was a member of Christ Yocum's Lutheran Church, Grill, and was the lead alto in the Church Choir for 50 years.

She enjoyed bowling and playing bingo, and loved the Phillies.

She is survived by her son: Gerald G. Mason of Shillington.

There are also grandchildren: Lisa, Richard, Lori, and Dean, and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre deceased by a son: Richard E. Mason, who passed away August 22, 1998; a great grandson: Kyle R. Martzall, who passed away January 22, 1997; brothers: Melvin J. and Lawrence Nace; and a sister: C Romaine (Nace) Styer.
