Eleanor Livinghouse

Eleanor M. Livinghouse, 71, formerly of Muhlenberg Township, passed away peacefully to enter the presence of her savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 12:30 am in the residence of her daughter Jennifer R. Measley. Eleanor Livinghouse--better known as Ellie--was the wife of Thomas A. Livinghouse. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harlan and Ruth (Frankenfield) Kistler. Ellie attended Evangelical Free Bible Church in Clark Summit. She was a 1965 graduate of Muhlenberg High School, graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and later on with a master's degree in counseling psychology. Besides being a devoted wife, mother and nana, Ellie was an elementary school teacher at Wilson School District, was a social worker for Children and Youth Services in Reading and was a clinician in the Psychiatric Division of Reading Hospital. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Christopher A. Livinghouse of Fleetwood, and her daughter Jennifer R. Measley, wife of Reverend Michael T. Measley. Ellie's most precious role was being 'Nana' to her grandchildren Corey, Kyle, Cameron, Michael, Mikayla, Matthew and Madison. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Kistler and his wife, Eileen, of Leesport.
The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3825 Penn Avenue, Sinking Spring, Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 pm. Reverend Michael T. Measley will officiate. It will be a time to mourn, share memories, see old friends, heal, sing and celebrate the life of a wonderful woman. Please bring your memories of Ellie's life to share with the family.
