Chet devoted a substantial part of his life to his career, serving diligently as an engineer for the School District of Philadelphia for 20 years. His commitment to service extended further as he took on security roles at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA for an additional 15 years. His professional journey exemplified not only his expertise but also his unwavering dedication to his community.

A proud U.S. Navy Veteran, Chet's life was marked by his willingness to serve and protect. He carried the ethos of service into every endeavor he undertook, and his military experience shaped his character and instilled a profound sense of discipline and commitment in all aspects of his life.

Beyond his career, Chet enjoyed a wealth of hobbies and interests that reflected his vibrant personality. He cherished camping and had a passion for motorcycles. Known as a handy individual, he found joy in computers, showcasing his natural inclination towards technology. Notably, Chet took a computer class at the remarkable age of 80, demonstrating his belief in lifelong learning and his love for computers.

Chet is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara A. Hudson. He leaves behind a stepson, Hank Stenson, who is married to Angie, and another stepson, Michael Stenson, whose wife is Diane. Chet was a proud grandfather to his two grandsons, Derek Stenson and Kyle Sands, who will carry forward the values and love he instilled in them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Parker Hudson, and his mother, Dorothy C. (Lightfoot). Chet’s memory will forever be cherished by those who had the honor to know him. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all who remember him.

As per the family request, a celebration of Chet’s life will be held at a later date.
