Elayne K. Nirosky Cox of Exeter Township, PA, beloved wife, mother and friend to many, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on June 27,2018.
Wife of Thomas S. Cox of Exeter Township, Reading, PA with whom she celebrated 25 years of marriage and pure unconditional love. Elayne is the mother to Suzette (Strauss) Margolis, husband Stuart of Bryn Mawr, PA, Joseph V. Strauss, wife Marcy and Michael T. Strauss, wife Kimberly of Exeter Township, PA, and step mother to Anthony S. Luise, wife Jamie of Raliegh, NC, and Jennifer L. Brettman , husband George of Exeter Township, PA.
Elayne lived a life of dignity and grace with love in her heart for her family especially her grandchildren who were her greatest source of pride and joy: Caroline, Katie, Taylor, Jason, Justin, JR, Payton, Audrey, Ava, Finn, Coyle, Amanda, Allyssa, Andrew, and Charlie.
She embodied the warmth and spirit of Schuylkill County, PA where she was raised the daughter of the late Theodore E. and Helen M. (Carroll) Nirosky and was sister to the late Thomas E. Nirosky of York, PA.
As family matriarch, Elayne taught her family not just to give love but to be love. She cherished time travelling with her best buddy, Tom, cheering on her grand children at sporting events year round and relaxing on the beach surrounded by family. She loved to sew/create beautiful dAC.cor and clothing and turned shopping into an Olympic gold medal sport.
Elayne spent most of her career until retirement working for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Prior to that she was a manager for the Optical Department at Boscov's Department Stores.
